Although I have been a little lax on posting pictures of progress on the toad over the last week I have been working on him, just not as much as I would have liked, mixture of work, out of work commitments have left me feeling a little drained for the last couple of weeks so rather than force it I put it to one side, painting stressed in my opinion is the single worst thing you can do.
However I have managed to get the gattling cannon and ammo belt painted. Having to do all the individual details on the bullets made me so thankful that I got one of the Stephan Rath miniature holders, really makes bracing to paint fine details without holding the model a breeze. I think that almost wraps up the metals, there are a few minor bits but really just an evening work. On to the smoke, hammerhead and wires.
Started work on the base just to start working out the colours. Original gradient on the stone was done with a airbrush and then drybrushed over. After that the glazing in of grime etc has begun, but is far from finished...The Toad a "life of crime" or a "life of grime" in my opinion a little of each
