Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 101st Infantry - Andrej and The Neverborns

Building of the new veteran squads is in full swing

Veteran Sergeant Andrej (counts as Bastonne and will double up as Colonel Sarren or Master of the Fleet)

Andrej and The Neverborns

Few bits of putty work to do on these and they are ready for painting

Just like to say I am very impressed with the quality of the DKoK Engineers

Whilst I had the tube tool out for the rebreathers I also got the Primaris Psyker converted to the Legion

Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 101st Infantry - Gunny Serg "Hartman"

Yes Hartman not Harker!

Wanted to include Harker in my army but didn't want a random unit of Catachans in my army, so out came the clippers and off went his head.

Had the head from a miscast DKoK Engineer that was doing nothing, add a little greenstuff, magic sculpt and grey stuff pop them in a bag shake it about and bish bash bosh

Think it works a treat.

And I named him Gunny Serg Hartman after this man

BULLSHIT I STILL CAN'T HEAR YOU!

Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 121st Armoured & 101st Infantry - Armour Galore!!

And finished.......
Leman Russ Executioner

Last minute thought struck that the plasma coils on the 2 old tanks should be redone at the same timeas this one....so.....I did

Next up....

Company Commander Marcus Von Gill's Command Chimera

Veteran Squad "The Shades" Chimera Transport

Colossus - "BOHICA"

Colossus - "The Fat Man"

Colossus - "Professional Earth Moving Services Since 941.M41"

And a group shot

On to infantry.......

Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 121st Armoured & 101st Infantry - Armour Galore!!

Apart from a small power cut this afternoon it has been non-stop paintage all day.......

Got loads done.  Just need to do the lenses on all the tanks, scrolls on the chimeras, and plasma glow on the executioner.

I have also added the squad markings (playing cards) to the two older executioners and redone the scorching on the barrel as it was shit previously.

Chimeras are the closest to being finished of all the tanks

Although the three Colossus are not far off

The Fat Man

BOHICA

Professional Earth Moving Services Since 941.M41

And a few other angles

Should have them all finished tomorrow....fingers crossed!

Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 121st Armoured & 101st Infantry - Armour Galore!!

The doubles tournament with Luke went well.  We won all our games, and if rankings were based on just gaming we would have come 2nd by one point....however they run some brofisting "favorite game" crap that can score you an additional 24 points (2-3 entire fecking games worth of victory points!!!!!) and as a result we came 10th, still it was enjoyable none the less, tiring but fun.

To add to this Rome 2 has been released so i have been somewhat slack on the painting front until the last few days.  But I am back on it with a vengence.

So I have spent Wednesday and Friday night painting rivets and doing the freehand on the tanks

I have gone with "The Fat Man", "BOHICA" and "Professional Earth Moving Services Since 941.M41" as the names/slogans on the colossus.  BOHICA for those that don't know means "Bend Over Here It Comes Again"

I have also zipped straight into the oil work on the tanks

Time for bed

The sum of last night's work

Followed by a 6am start which resulted in......

Never underestimate the productivity of a 6am start to the day

Blitzkreig Bop - Armageddon Steel Legion 121st Armoured & 101st Infantry - Armour Galore!!

So i have started back on the guard with a vengance!!!

Got home late from work on Friday and started to wash all the resin I have.....and trust me there was shit loads

Then straight into the building of the tanks, 3 FW Bombards (Colossus), 1 Leman Russ Executioner and 2 Chimeras (for my veteran units)

Not bad for a day's worth of building, oh and I have started a Land raider also!.
